On 19 September, the Catholic University of East Africa (C.U.E.A.) became the hub of a powerful dialogue on peace and ecology. YOUNIB ORGANIZATION, in partnership with student groups and faith leaders, hosted the Interreligious Forum on Peace and Ecology. Hundreds of participants—secondary‑school students, teachers, clergy and activists—filled the university’s auditorium, drawn together by a shared conviction that caring for the planet is a prerequisite for lasting peace. The Involvement of the YOUNIB TV as a medium of truth, was so significant and evidenced by their Media strategic presence.

On behalf of the YOUNIB ORGANIZATION, Gloria Munyiva, Chairperson of YOUNIB ORGANIZATION, opened the forum with a stirring invocation that linked scripture to stewardship. “When we protect our common home, we lay the groundwork for every other kind of peace,” she said, setting a tone of urgency and hope.

Panels featured speakers from Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and indigenous traditions, each illustrating how faith can inspire concrete ecological action—from campus‑wide recycling programs to solar‑powered prayer gardens.

The following day, 20 September, the momentum spilled onto the streets of Nairobi as YOUNIB co‑organised the climate protest “Draw the Line.” Students from dozens of secondary schools marched from KWS to CUEA, chanting verses on stewardship and holding placards that read, “Our future is not a sacrifice.” The protest, held under the banner of interfaith solidarity, echoed the forum’s message: moral conviction must translate into action.

Both events underscored YOUNIB’s vision of youth‑led, faith‑based activism. Gloria Munyiva walked side‑by‑side with students at the rally, embodying the bridge between generations and traditions. As one participant noted, “We’ve drawn the line; now we’ll keep walking it.” The two‑day program at C.U.E.A. left a clear signal: when faith, peace and ecology converge, the result is a catalyst for change that reverberates far beyond the university walls.
